CHABAD JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF RIVERSIDE

High Holiday Offerings

The High Holidays are a soulful and rejuvenating time; a season during which we get our "Jewish recharge" for the New Year.

This year, we’ve been presented with a unique set of challenges, but Judaism teaches us that challenges and obstacles should only strengthen our resolve.

Despite the pandemic — indeed because of it — we are determined to make these the most meaningful and memorable High Holidays ever!

To achieve this while taking all necessary health precautions, respecting individual circumstances and adhering to government guidelines, we’ll be offering various avenues of inspiration and participation – including In-Person Prayer Services and meals, Online Events, Take-Out Dinners & DIY Gift Packages.

Please click on the links below to select your preferences.

What Are the High Holidays?
The two-day holiday of Rosh Hashanah is the head of the Jewish year, the time when G‑d reinvests Himself in creation as we crown Him king of the universe through prayer, shofar blasts, and celebration. A week later, the High Holidays reach their crescendo with Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement). Like angels, we neither eat nor drink for 25 hours. Dressed in white, we pray in the synagogue—united as one people, children of One Father.
